Sedarvp-Ghana donates to needy widows, orphans in Northern Region

Sedarvp Ghana in partnership with Mother’s Intuition- a US based non- governmental organization that supports and educate pregnant women, donated food items to over 120 needy widows and orphans in the Taha, Kulaa, Gbalahi and Kpawumo villages in the Northern region of Ghana.

This was part of the organizations efforts  towards supporting needy Muslim women who are unable to provide daily meals at Sohoor and Iftar during this holy month of Ramadan. The items presented included; bags of rice, Cartons of canned tomato and bottles of cooking oil.

The Executive Director and founder of Sedarvp Ghana, Mr. Abukari Shaibu Niendow, who led the team to do the presentation used the opportunity to thank the women for turning up early to receive the items and expressed profound gratitude to Ms.Ameenah Rashid Jackson, who’s fundraising efforts made this possible.

This donation indeed touched the lives of these women judging from the expression of Joy and happiness on their faces. On behalf of the women, 65 year old Yakubu Sanatu , expressed the gratefulness and appreciation of the women for this kind gesture.

She mentioned that this support will go a long way to benefit more people and families in the communities than the number of people that has received the items and therefore words cannot express how much they appreciate the effort. Present to witness this exercise included; the team from Sedarvp Ghana, opinion leaders of the  communities and representatives from various youth groups in the communities, women and children
