SEDARVP GHANA Launches New Erasmus+ Project: YouthEcoResilience (Y.E.R.).

SEDARVP GHANA is proud to announce the launch of our new Erasmus+ 3-year project titled YouthEcoResilience (Y.E.R.)—a dynamic initiative uniting eight organizations across Europe and Africa to build youth-led responses to climate-driven migration and strengthen community resilience. The project Kickoff meeting is currently ongoing in Nairobi, Kenya.

 Partner Organizations:

  • ASSOCIAZIONE CHIRON CHIRON – Italy
  • Drasi gia tin Koinonia ton Politon (Action for Civil Society) – Greece
  • Smart Leap Education Research Consultancy GmbH – Germany
  • Somali Diaspora Alliance (SDA) – Sweden
  • Kenya Voluntary Development Association (KVDA) – Kenya
  • Centre for Humanity and Sustainable Development Organisation – Malawi
  • Tanzania Enlightenment Development Innovations (TEDI) – Tanzania
  • SEDARVP GHANA – Ghana.

About the Project:

YouthEcoResilience (Y.E.R.) aims to foster intercultural dialogue among young people and enhance community resilience in the face of climate migration. Scientific evidence, along with lived experiences, confirms that climate change is progressing faster than previously projected—disrupting ecosystems, livelihoods, and displacing communities.

From increasingly scarce access to clean water to the collapse of agricultural systems in climate “hot zones,” vulnerable populations are forced to adapt or migrate. These shifts often trigger new or deepen existing conflicts due to competition over limited natural resources.

 Project Objectives:

  1. Strengthen socio-educational facilitators’ understanding of the intersection between climate change, migration, and human security.
  2. Foster knowledge exchange and best practices among facilitators to improve the social integration of young climate refugees from Sub-Saharan Africa.
  3. Empower young people as changemakers—equipping them to raise awareness, engage in environmental education, and promote climate justice within their communities.

Together, through YouthEcoResilience, we are investing in youth-led solutions that inspire action, cultivate resilience, and build a more just and sustainable future.
